73 year-old Virgilo Kison has not been located and remains missing. Investigators believe that Kison was last seen walking north from FM 1314 on the south bound service road of US 59 on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at approximately 7:00 PM not far from the Pine Shadow Retreat Nursing Home.

73 year-old Virgilio Kison has not been located and remains missing. Investigators have exhausted investigative leads and have diligently searched the surrounding areas. The searches have included organized ground and air searches coordinated with Montgomery County Search and Rescue.
Montgomery County Search and Rescue has used K9’s, ATV’s and ground searches. Sheriff’s Office detectives have saturated the US 59 corridor with Missing person flyers and helped with ground searches of overpasses, bridges and waterways.
Investigators have followed-up on the leads generated from the public and media outlets and have remained in constant contact with Mr. Kison’s family who would appreciate the continued vigilance from the public.
Mr. Kison is a Pacific Islander and will be 74 years old in November. Mr. Kison suffers from schizophrenia, dementia, Parkinson’s and diabetes. Mr. Kison was last seen wearing a white short-sleeve button-up shirt with a gray design on it and brown or tan slacks.

With the assistance of Montgomery County Search and Rescue the Sheriff’s Office has been conducting a systematic search of the area and speaking with homeowners and business owners. Searches will continue today.

Missing Person
Sunday, August 21, 2011, at approximately 6:45 PM an elderly male walked away from an adult care facility in Porter, Texas.
Sunday afternoon 73 year old Virgilo Kison walked out of one of the exit doors of the Pine Shadow Retreat Nursing Home unnoticed by staff members. The Sheriff’s Office began a search of the area assisted by Montgomery County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office. Using a tracking dog the search was unsuccessful but the dog did lead deputies towards Loop 494 away from the nursing home.
Mr. Kison had been a resident at Pine Shadow Retreat since March of this year and has a brother and a sister in the Houston area and he did not have a vehicle or cell phone.
